In the heart of our mission, Ushindi Ministry continues to bring hope, faith, and transformation to communities in need. Through our latest church construction efforts in Baraka, South-Kivu Province, we have witnessed not only the physical progress of building places of worship but also the profound spiritual and social impact on the people we serve.
Faith Transforming Lives
One of the most remarkable testimonies of our work is the conversion of five Muslim families, totaling 22 individuals, who have embraced Jesus Christ. This transformation was made possible by the visible impact of the church construction and the transparency of the work being carried out. These families saw the love of Christ in action and chose to follow Him, marking a powerful step in their faith journey.
Vumiliya Sefu had never attended a Christian church since birth. Her husband is also a Muslim. She has ten children, and after witnessing the work the Lord is doing for Christians through the PEFA church, she decided to join the Christian community and give her life to Christ. She admits that she has inherited certain practices from her Muslim family but sincerely wants to get rid of them.
André Abdala, a father of six children, had a remarkable experience while praying at the mosque. He heard a voice whisper to him, “Are you doing it again?” Though he did not immediately understand the message, he felt that it was the someone different speaking to him. Later, one of his children observed the unity of the Christians at the PEFA church, how they worked together both in construction and evangelism, and shared this experience with his father. A few days later, André Abdala approached the church pastors and expressed his desire to follow Christ.
Community Support and Encouragement
Our efforts have not gone unnoticed. The local civil society has expressed great satisfaction with the progress of the construction and has even committed to making a public statement acknowledging their appreciation. Additionally, neighboring churches have shown immense support for the initiative, seeking both guidance and resources to undertake similar projects within their own communities.
The construction of the PEFA Kibonjwa Church has been advancing steadily, thanks to the dedication and collaboration of our team members. This unity and shared vision among team members, local leaders, and the Christian community have been instrumental in ensuring that the project stays on track.
Beyond the physical structure, the construction of this church has fostered social cohesion among community members. People from different backgrounds have come together, working hand in hand without regard to social divisions. This shared effort is a testament to the power of faith in building not only churches but also strong, united communities.
Recognition and Support from PEFA Leadership
The national representative and the entire leadership team of the PEFA Church have been deeply moved by the support provided by Ushindi Ministry. They have pledged to visit the site to personally witness the progress of the work and have reaffirmed their commitment to supporting our vision. Their prayers and encouragement serve as a great source of motivation for our team.
To sum it up, the work of Ushindi Ministry is doing is a testament to God’s grace and the power of faith in action. With continued support from partners, believers, and well-wishers, we can ensure that these communities not only receive places of worship but also grow spiritually and socially. We invite you to stand with us in prayer, financial contributions, and active participation in our mission to spread the Gospel and uplift those in need.
Acts 2:42-47: They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
Together, we are building more than just churches, we are building hope, faith, and a future centered on Christ.
May God bless you abundantly for your support and commitment to His work.
