Mobilizing the Church to be engaged in the indigenous mission is mandatory for Ushindi Ministry. Churches in the Zande region are fighting to be light and salt, but their effort is so minimal for many reasons: poverty, lack of training and equipment. Unfortunately, with the presence of Mborroro in the region, and the UN peace mission, the Muslim faith started increasing rapidly in the area. If Churches does not get conscience and make effort by now, few years later, Church will face real persecution.

From March 21 to 28, 2023, Jacques and Rev. Pastor Baraka travelled to Niangara, then to Dungu for Church mobilization.

In Niangara and Dungu, Jacques and Rev. Pastor Baraka met 119 church leaders including Pastors, youth representatives, women representatives, and evangelists’ representatives. During the meeting, Jacques and Rev. Pastor Baraka mobilized the Church on the great commission to bring Church understanding that “mission” is the responsibility of the Church. Ushindi is looking forwards to see Churches standing to spread Gospel, that shall transform Niangara and all over the Africa.

The focus of Pastor Baraka’s presentation was also on the danger of Muslim expansion in the region. He insisted that if nothing is done by the Church now, in the coming days Churches will be facing real persecution and many Churches will disappear. He also talked on how Church can evangelize Muslim, and bring them to receive Jesus-Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Pastor Baraka’s preaching

Churches should take this opportunity to start writing a new story of the evangelical mission from the geographical heart of Africa to heal the heart, then transform the entire continent.

The geographical Heart of Africa.

In Niangara, Churches are facing many challenges:

  • Early pregnancies are affecting youths
  • Poverty is the root of the vulnerability of the Church,
  • Some Mborroro (Muslim) are marrying Christian laddies,
  • Many of mothers in the Church are leaving their husband to marry another husband,
  • There is no legal and religious marriage since many years ago,
  • Churches are not able to take care of vulnerable including widows,
  • Many Church members wanted to become missionaries, but they don’t have guidance and trainings for their preparation,

We prayed with participants for these challenges, believing that God hearing our prayer.
Rev. Pastor Baraka and Jacques spent the whole day of Sunday, March 26, 2023 with Churches in Li-MAY. This congregation of CECA 20 is located at the North of Dungu, 25 Km from the Dungu city. The Dungu CECA 20 Church organized that evangelical mission under the leadership of Pastor AMINI to strengthen the Li-MAY Church that was getting weaker. Less than 10 people were attending the Sunday service.

Because Dungu Churches are becoming mature, Ushindi Ministry will support them to go forwards. They will organize the PBS in Ngilima, where the training will be focused on the Mission and the Church in Dungu will prepare missionaries that will be sent in the region in the coming day.

Join us in encouraging, strengthening, equipping and empowering local communities of believers.
