Who we are

Ushindi Ministry is recently registered (2022) as a Not-for-Profit organization in Congo for legal reasons but exists as an Inter-denominational indigenous mission. Ushindi’s mission is to promote spiritual growth through encouraging, strengthening, equipping and empowering local communities of believers (churches) in Central Africa toward specific engagement in indigenous mission initiatives, results of lives transformed through an intimate relationship (friendship) with Jesus. Vision Conferences, Seminars, CHE (Community Health Evangelism), Discipleship/Mission trainings through Portable Bible School are foundational in the fulfillment of Ushindi’s Vision and Mission.

Meet Steve & Mukanirwa

Steve Wolcott and Obed Mukanirwa are two friends who have been involved in promoting indigenous mission initiatives in the spiritually “dark” region of the geographic “heartland” of Africa. In their attempts to respond, they experienced failure and discouragement. It was then that a breathy voice was heard in their ears repeatedly “Ushindi”. Everywhere we go, we are conquerors acting victoriously by the Power of Jesus-Christ to empower, strengthen, encourage and equip local communities of believers, to transform their communities and to be able to afford the coming persecution.

Our Statement of Faith

We believe Bible is the inspired Word of God and useful for teaching.

2. We believe in only one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

3. We believe Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God, he took human body, he lived without sin, he performed miracles and he died so that his blood might take away the sin of the world. He rose from the death, ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father, where he intercedes for us. He will return with power and glory.

4. We believe all men are sinners and must face the judgment of God, and Jesus Christ is the only way for salvation for anyone who believes in him to have eternal life.

5. We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit to convice sinners, guide and comfort.

6. We believe in the resurrection of the death, the glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ and the last judgment.
